Apache MeagE 7 1/2 Month Old Puppy

Apache is the sweetest little MeagE puppy there is! She was born August 16, 2016. She was diagnosed with MeagE at 10 weeks. Apache has come so far from first being diagnosed. Her foster mom’s parents built her a custom made Bailey Chair that she eats every meal in. Her upright time has been reduced from 45-60 minutes to 15-20 minutes with some playtime after! She eats 2 times a day during the weekend (3 in her foster parents can fit it in) and 3 times on the weekends. She likes her food to be pureed to go down quicker. She has been weaned off all medications! She LOVES peanut butter, Knox blocks, playing with her foster sisters and brothers, playing tug of war and catch. She loves to give sloppy puppy kisses and snuggles. Although Apache is a special needs pup she loves life to the fullest and does not let her MeagE slow her down.  She loves to go on walks and even runs with her foster mom! Other than the way that she has to eat she is a normal dog!
Apache has used a Bailey Chair her whole life and does not know anything different so getting her in and out of her chair is no problem. She gets along with all other animals she has met, is kid friendly, potty and crate trained, although she does not need to stay in a crate anymore!

Xander & Xandie – Brother and Sister FIV+ Kittens

Xander and Xandie were found on the streets and brought into Cozy Cat Cotage in June 2016. Cozy Cat estimates that they were born in April.

These brother and sister kittens are adorable, sweet FIV+ kittens. They would do great in a home together because they have never known life without each other. Xander has a minor eye issue because he came in with a severe infection (he is over the infection, however his eyes are a little smaller looking than a normal kitten). He is easily startled because of his minor vision impairment, but this kitty is a baby doll once he warms up to you.

Xander and Xandie brother and sister kittensFIV is not life threatening and it CANNOT be transmitted to humans or dogs. Like any other kittens, they need good quality cat food, yearly vet visits, and love. These kittens are currently in the Cozy Cat Cottage nursery, so please request to see them when you visit Cozy Cat Cottage at 62 Village Pointe Drive, in Powell, Ohio 43065. Cozy Cat may also be reached by phone at (614) 336-8510.

GERTIE – Female – Boxer mix 1 year old

For Adoption, 1 Year Old, 46 Pound, Female Boxer MixHi, I’m Gertie! I’m a 1-year-old, female, 46-pound Boxer mix. Since I am still young I have lots of energy and love going on walks. My foster mom is amazed how well I do on my leash! I’m a good listener and don’t pull or tug when we are out walking. We have very nice and relaxing walks together. Well, unless there’s something to chase like a bunny or a squirrel that is. I like to go try and catch them, but can be redirected easily. I am good with other dogs after having a proper introduction. I enjoy being outside with my foster doggie sister and playing with each other and the neighbor dog.  We then like to nap together in the sun. I enjoy when my foster mom gives me tummy rubs. They are nice, slow and calm and help me relax. I love to be around people! Although I have a great temperament, I would do best in a home with older children since I am still working on proper manners like not jumping up.  I have not met a cat, but sounds like that would be a fun thing to chase! I won’t know until I meet one though.  I am house and crate trained.  I am ready to share my energy and love with my fur-ever family.

Roscoe – Male 10 Year Old Domestic Cat

Regal Roscoe Cat for Adoption in Columbus, Dublin, Powell, OHMy name is Roscoe and I am approximately 10 years old. I am a big gray domestic short-haired guy. I was adopted from Cozy Cat and then returned – I don’t know exactly why – the only thing I can think of is that I have a skin sensitivity so I need grain-free food, but I thought I was worth it . I was adopted out again, but returned because I did not get along with the other animals – I became very stressed and stopped using the litter box.

I now know that I would be on my very best behavior as an only pet – won’t you please give me a chance?

Lolly – Cat for Adoption

Lolly

Lolly Cat for adoption at Cozy Cat Cottage Adoption Center in Powell, OhioIn July 2014 I was brought to Cozy Cat from a homeless camp with my siblings. We were kittens and very ill — only I survived. I had a severe ear infection and as a result, I have a neurological head tilt that I personally think makes me even cuter! I admit that I am shy but once I trust you, I will be your most loyal companion…especially if you have a laser light – I love chasing that funny red light!
I live on the administrative side at Cozy Cat so please request to see me…

Apollo – Male (Neutered) Himalayan Cat – (found a new home)

Himalayan Cat For Adoption in Columbus, Powell, Central Ohio

Thank you for your support! Apollo has been adopted.

Apollo was dumped on Cozy Cat’s porch with a note stating that he needed a quieter home than the chaotic one he was currently living in. The note also stated that he was approximately 2 years old and front de-clawed. He is a magnificent looking boy who truly enjoys being petted, sitting at your feet, and following you around.

Note: The Himalayan is a breed of longhaired cat identical in type to the Persian, with the exception of its blue eyes and its point coloration, which is derived from crossing a Persian with a Siamese.

LUCY Female – Boxer/Lab Mix 7 Years Old

Hi! I’m Lucy! I am almost 7 years old. I have been told I am a very sweet, loving dog.

Columbus Area Dog for Adoption - Boxer-Lab mix named LucyI am very affectionate, love to be outdoors with people and I have never had any ‘accidents’ in the house. So far, I don’t mind kids at all, but I’m not fond of other dogs. I need to be with a one-dog family, meaning I am your one and only. I don’t like the vacuum cleaner or cats, but I love to chase squirrels. On the weekends, I will wake you up to go potty and have some breakfast, but I will go right back to bed when I am done and let you sleep in a few more hours! I will let you know when you have someone at the door or the mailman is there by barking. I love dog treats and I think that ice cubes are the greatest thing. If you have a spot where I can look out the window, I will love you forever!

DELILAH Female – APBT 4 Years Old

Delilah, 4 year old female dog for adoption in Franklin County and Delaware CountyHi there!! I’m Delilah, or piggy for short!

APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) Delilah available for adoption in Columbus, OhioMyfoster mom says she calls me piggy cause I’m so cute and wiggly! I am so happy all the time and am easy to please! I just want to snuggle with you for some pets or chase the ball. I am very well-behaved and know basic commands. I walk very well on a leash and often go to pet-friendly stores with my foster mom. I always get lots of compliments! I would prefer to have a family all to myself, without any pets or kids. I get along with them fine but I get SO excited sometimes, so I would prefer a quiet home to relax in.

I have been waiting for a home for over 2 years now, but that’s ok! I am loving my life in my foster home. But I would love to have a family to call my own. My ideal family would be a couple or family with grown kids who are looking for a companion. I am medium energy so I would like daily walks and structured play. I would love a family that can give me structure and stability so I can finally relax. Could that family be you?

Please visit Powell Animal Welfare Society for more information on adopting Delilah or another pet.
